What is the difference between solid and veneer? How long is a veneer going to last?

Veneer is technically a thin layer of hardwood, usually thinner than 1/8 of an inch. Typically, a veneer is bonded, or glued with adhesive to a less expensive surface that is hidden below. All of our veneers are constructed from real wood, not of materials manufactured to look like real wood.
